There are calls for consideration of an ‘urgent’ upgrade to Ennis’ Abbey Street.
Elected representatives have heard this week that a feasability study for the street is needed to ensure it can apply to the Government for funding to rejuvenate the space.

Clare County Council says ‘the inclusion of Abbey Street in future public realm regeneration projects is a priority’ for the local authority.
Ennis-based Fine Gael Councillor Johnny Flynn says work needs to be done to ensure the area doesn’t become a ‘ghost street’.
