Clare’s Fine Gael Senator has called for clarity on the rollout of COVID-19 vaccines to nursing home residents who’ve so far been unable to avail of the jabs.
While vaccinations have been distributed at nursing homes throughout Clare and Ireland, a number of residents and staff were unable to receive the jabs if they had recentyl contracted COVID.
A person must be free of the virus for 28 days before they are injected.
In recent weeks, concern has been raised about a lack of clarity on the process, while the HSE has told Clare FM that what it calls a “mop up process” will br provided for at a later date.
Speaking in the Seanad recently, Senator Martin Conway said further details are needed on that process as a priority.
