Clare County Council is being urged to carry out works on an alley in Sixmilebridge which has become a hotspot for underage drinking.
The walkway between Lodge Road and Church Street has been described as a magnet for teenagers hanging out and has caused some concern locally.

A concrete fence is currently lining the pathway, separating two council-owned housing developments, and the local authority says replacing this with bollards will be considered under this year’s list of development works.
Fianna Fáil Councillor Cathal Crowe believes this would act as a deterrent and says people in the town have the right to live in a peaceful environment:
