An Ennis councillor is calling on the local authority to buy a street train to run on the streets of the county town all year around.
The motion follows on from the success of the Christmas train, which brought children around Ennis in December, raising €3,800 for charity in the process.
That vehicle was on loan but Fine Gael Councillor Mary Howard feels the demand would be there to have one in council ownership, on a permanent basis.
