There are calls for a one-way traffic system to be put in place on one of Kilkee’s busiest roads with tourists to ensure the safety of pedestrians taking in the views.
Fine Gael’s Gabriel Keating says that the option should be explored from the Dunlickey Road to the Diamond Rocks car park, and back to McDonnell Terrace, under the Rural Regeneration Fund.

Clare County Council has already engaged with local residents on carrying out an assessment of the area for this and says that it could be considered.
Cllr Keating believes the status quo isn’t working for either residents or visitors to the area.
