Calls have been made for the soon-to-be former Ennis Library building to be retained as an arts space.
The county library is set to move to a state-of-the-art €8.6 million building beside glór, with the council recently seeking submissions on the plan.

Fine Gael Councillor Johnny Flynn believes the new building would assist in creating a “21st Century Cultural Quarter” incorporating the Museum, the Peace Park, Glór and other historical buildings in the vacinity.
And the Former Mayor of Ennis believes the current library building on Harmony Row should be refurbished as an arts space to promote local art producers and their work:
