The Mayor of Clare has called for talks between the Council and residents in the Turnpike area of Ennis with regards to a planned cycle lane in that area of the town.
Businesses in the Turnpike have expressed concern, and held a meeting in recent days over the impact of the lane.

Under current plans, it would change a road in the area into a one-way route, and there are fears this will keep shoppers away.
