Consultants have been appointed by Clare County Council to draw up the plan of a new visitor services building and a number of other shoreline facilities.
Questions have been raised over whether consultants had been given a deadline for when the plan should be finished, but the local authority says no such date exists.
Councillor Richard Nagle believes its not unreasonable to expect a timeframe to be outlined.
