Call For Financial Reward For Those Who Help Authorities Catch Dog Foulers In Clare

An Ennis Councillor is calling for financial incentives to be offered to “pooper snoopers” who help catch those not picking up after their dogs.

Mary Howard says the issue of dog fouling on public paths and walkways is persisting in all parts of the county.

She wants to see the council bolster the initiatives currently in place by bringing in plain clothed dog wardens to patrol public areas, as well as offering rewards to those who catch people ignoring the signs on camera.
