Calls are being made for a dedicated disabilities officer, with first hand experience, to be appointed in Clare to better the lives of those living with disabilities here.
Members of the Clare Leader Forum have made a presentation to the local authority, urging them to take steps to ensure that they are given equal opportunities in work and life.

They’re also calling for an open dialogue to be established to review all aspects of local authority duties, in consultation with the disabled community here.
