The Mayor of Ennis says it’s vital that works are carried out in Clarecastle to make the village more attractive ahead of the re-opening of Latoon Bridge.
The bridge, which is on a main artery into the village, will remain closed until May to allow repair works be carried out.

Though it was a controversial long-term closure and has led to concern from locals that business has suffered as a result, the local authority says there was no option but to carry out the works.
Now, Fine Gael’s Paul Murphy says they must put their best foot forward in ensuring it looks presentable for the summer season – and he’s confident it’ll be done on time.
