The cabinet is set to appoint Clare woman Rose Hynes as chairperson of the new Shannon Airport Authority.
Clare FM understands that senior Ministers will consider the candidacy of the Bellharbour woman at their weekly meeting today, and that her name will be the only one up for discussion.

Rose Hynes chaired the Aviation Business Development Task Force which drafted the new plan for Shannon – she currently holds the position of chairperson of Bord Gais and is a former director of both the Shannon Airport Authority and Aer Lingus.
