Cabinet To Be Briefed On Garda Phone Tapping

The Cabinet is likely to be briefed this morning on allegations of Garda phone-tapping against political sources.

Ministers will also discuss further plans for a root-and-branch review of the force.

The review was ordered in March after it emerged that figures around breath tests had been massively overstated.
