CAB Searches Target Criminals in Clare

The Criminal Assets Bureau is carrying out a number of searches in Clare today.

It’s part of an investigation into organises criminal groups based in the region.

These searches in Clare, Limerick and Tipperary have been led by members of the Criminal Assets Bureau, and targeting local criminal gangs.

Gardaí say homes and business premises have been searched, and that documentation, mobile phones, devices and computer equipment have been seized.

No arrests are planned at this stage of the operation, but the searches are being conducted as part of ongoing investigations into the purchase of land, vehicles and other assets by organised criminal groups based in the region.

The operation is being led by CAB Officers assisted by members of the Regional Support Unit and local Gardaí.
