Over €13 Million Recouped By Council In 2020 For Applying Commercial Rates Waiver

More than 13 million euro was recouped by Clare County Council from the government for applying the Commercial Rates Waiver in 2020.

It comes as the Department of Local Government has confirmed it’s extending the initiative for another three months, running from July to September.

The local authority has previously said it anticipates losing around 27 million euro as a result of the pandemic.
