The Burren has been crowned ‘The Best Place to Holiday in Ireland 2022’.
The area won the summer competition, which was hosted by The Irish Times in association with Failte Ireland, for its ‘stunning landscape’ and its vision for sustainable tourism.

The North Clare region beat off stiff competition from Achill, County Mayo, Carlingford, County Louth, The Causeway Coast in County Antrim and Inisbofin in County Galway.
Every nominated location was considered by a panel of judges on a range of criteria including natural amenities, built environment, sustainability and tourism services.
