A Clare County Council committee is to examine submissions on the county's draft burial ground bye-laws in a special meeting today.

The bye-laws sparked controversy earlier this year, when they included a proposal that graves must be 8 foot deep.
This was deemed unworkable by some, but the Council said it was merely looking to re-inforce a rule that was over 100 years old.
