Bunratty Publican Believes Housing Shortage Contributing To Clare Live Register Spike

A Bunratty publican believes the housing shortage in the county is contributing to a spike in local Live Register numbers.

It’s after new figures from the CSO showed the number of people obtaining some form of unemployment benefit in Clare is 37 percent higher than this time last year.

The number of under 25s joining the queues at one of the county’s four social welfare offices has more than trebled in the same timeframe.
