Overnight the Troika recommended that Ireland and Portugal get an extra seven years to repay EU loans.
The move is expected to be centre stage at a meeting of Finance Ministers in Dublin this weekend – though a final decision would have to be made by Germany.
Minister Richard Bruton says it’s another positive step aimed at easing the burden on taxpayers:
