Brother Of West Clare Murder Victim Vows To Fight To Keep Her Killer Behind Bars

The brother of a West Clare murder victim says he will fight to ensure his sister’s killer isn’t set free.

This week marks the 18th anniversary of the death of Ann Walsh, who was just 23 when she was strangled by her former boyfriend on the grounds of the local church on August 24th, 2005.

Raymond Donovan, who confessed to her murder and was subsequently sentenced to life in prison, will remain behind bars for another two years after the parole board recently rejected his application.

Ann’s brother Stephen has told Clare FM’s Morning Focus that an 18-year prison term simply isn’t long enough.
