A 40-year-old Galway man has been charged with the murder of his brother, whose body was found in a quarry near Liscannor on Monday.

41-year-old Adrian Folan had been missing from Athlone since last week, and last evening his brother Declan Ó Cualain, with an address at Cuileán, An Cheathrú Rua, Co Galway, was brought before a special sitting of Galway District Court.
He was charged with the murder of Adrian Folan at Lislorkin North, Liscannor, Co Clare, on 4 July.
There was no application for bail and Judge Mary Fahy directed that Mr Ó Cualain be brought before Harristown District Court next Friday morning.
