Broadband Progress A “Gamechanger” For Rural Clare

The Inagh-based CEO of Muintir na Tíre says further progress on the National Broadband Plan will be a gamechanger for rural Clare.

Clare has traditionally lagged behind other counties in the speed of eligible premises being surveyed under the plan, though NBI now estimates as many as 10,000 have been examined in this county.

The company says it expects around 5,500 dwellings here to be ‘up and running’ by the end of 2023, which represents around a quarter of those who are eligable, with more than 1,500 premises going live here “very soon”.
