Broad Welcome To Educational Funding Boost

Clare government representatives say they’re pleased schools here will benefit from the re-introduction of two funding schemes.

€68m of Department funding is to be used to upgrade Ireland’s schools, through Minor Works Grants and the Summer Works Programme for next year.

This will allow for jobs to be carried out at schools throughout Clare, with national schools in Tuamgraney and Kilnaboy as well as St. Flannan’s in Ennis among those here who are expected to benefit.

Clare Labour TD Michael McNamara says this money will come as a reprieve to hard-pressed parents throughout the county.
