Fianna Fail's Brian Crowley has been elected as MEP for Ireland South.
He received over 180 thousand 1st preferance votes in the first count announced in the last half hour.
The result confirmed the massive populairity of Fianna Fails Brian CRowley who's heading back to Brussels for another term to represent Ireland south in Europe
His surplus of nearly 50 thousand is now being distributed.
Speaking following the announcement, Brian Crowley, says his party can learn from how he handled his own campaign.
Sinn Fein's Liadh Ni Riada's set to take the second of 4 seats in the region.
She's on 125,309 the quota stands on 131,500

Fine Gaels Sean Kelly looks set to take the third seat for Ireland South in Europe with a batlle likey for the final seat between his Fine Gael colleagues, Fianna Fails second candidate and a Green contender.
