June Curtin went for 63 dips in the sea at Spanish Point Beach over the month of December to raise much needed funds for the Midwest Simon charity.
She’s a member of Snámhaí Sásta, which is a community of simmers in West Clare who have been meeting daily since 2019 as part of efforts to help maintain their mental health.
Mid West Simon has commended June and Snámhaí Sásta, saying they understand the trauma of homelessness on a person’s mental health and through June’s voice, they’re spreading an awareness and raising funds for the vulnerable.
