Boost to Clares Ambulance Services

Clare’s Ambulance services have been strengthened with the arrival of five new intermediate care vehicles aimed at improving response times to life threatening calls.

The new Ambulances to serve the HSE’s Mid-West area represent an investment of 1 million euro, and will cater for non-emergency transfers to free up other vehicles and paramedics to attend to more major incidents and call-outs.

Pat Mooney is the HSE’s Operations Performance Manager.

He says the new service means emergency personnel and ambulances can concentrate solely on life saving transfers and urgent calls.
