New research shows eight Shannon-based firms, operating in the ICT and life sciences sectors, are exporting goods to the value of 1.5 billion euro a year.

Investec has been commissioned by the Irish Exporters Association to analyse the level of business being generated by exporters here.
It's found that eight companies here are among the top 250 exporters in Ireland, and that they make a significant contribution to the local economy.
