A minute's silence will be held in Paris later, to remember the victims of Friday’s attacks.

Thousands of people gathered at Paris’s Place de la Republique throughout the weekend, coming in support of their fellow citizens, friends, and family in spite of the fear that consumed them after Friday night’s attack.

While a special ceremony took place at Notre Dame and other churches and gatherings, many preferred to congregate at one of France’s most important homages to the republic. Several were there to mourn the loss of a loved one.

Last night, the French government made the first of its responses to Friday night’s attack which killed 132 people and left over 300 injured.

Several military aircraft left France’s base in Jordan for the so-called Islamic State in Syria.

An ongoing manhunt for an 8th suspect in the attack is continuing– the government has warned people to be vigilant and stay away from crowded areas.
