Gardaí are appealing for information after bogus tradesmen targeted an elderly person in a residential area of Shannon.
The men called to a house in the Fergus Drive area, where they carried out a small paint job and some gutter cleaning.

They took a large payment for the work, despite the small amount of work carried out.
Gardaí in Shannon are asking anyone who witnessed anything suspicious in the area to contact them on 061 365 900.
