A body has been recovered off the West Clare Coast.

Kilrush RNLI were called to Loop Head earlier today following reports of a body in the water from a local fishing vessel.
They recovered the badly decomposed remains and returned to shore with the assistance of the Kilkee Coastguard and Gardai from Kilrush.
Searches had been taking place along the Clare Coast for two missing persons in recent weeks, one missing from the Ballybunnion area and one from the Cliffs of Moher.
A post mortem examination will be carried out at Limerick University Hospital to confirm the idenity of the deceased.
