A man’s body has been recovered during the search for a fisherman who was swept into the sea near Fanore on Sunday.

The 42-year-old Latvian national, who had been living in Co. Longford, was fishing along the North Clare coast when he was pulled into the water by a strong wave.
A search operation was launched on Sunday evening, and continued through yesterday and this morning.
The remains were discovered at around 11:45 at Ballyreen, between Doolin and Fanore, by Naval Divers who were assisted by the Doolin Unit of the Irish Coast Guard.
