The Board of Bus Éireann is urging all employees to urgently engage with management to prevent the company becoming insolvent.
A survival plan was presented to the Board today which includes cost efficiencies to eliminate what it calls “grossly inefficient work practices”.

Without such efficiencies, the company says it’s impossible to fund a voluntary redundancy scheme and, faced with that scenario, its board must consider other measures to prevent the business becoming insolvent.
