The Mayor of Ennis feels the town has missed out on a chance to emerge from the recession by not being awarded the right to host Fleadh Cheoil na hEireann.
Sligo has been announced as the host of the event from 2014, narrowly beating Clare’s County Town in the vote among members of the Ardchomhairle of Comhaltas Ceoltóirí Éireann.
