A number of proposals to deal with the issues at Blake's corner will be put forwardat The Falls Hotel next Wednesday.

However, much focus will be on the Council's preferred option of a new Inner Relief Road and bridge which would see at least 2 homes and 1 business knocked.

This led to much comment and controversy in Ennistymon when first revealed in January.

Sheena Clancy is one of those who looks set to see her property removed – she hopes the publics' views will be listened to.

Council staff and its consultant engineers will be present next week to deal with peoples' queries.

Afterwards, the public will have four weeks to make written submissions which the Council says will be considered before a decision is made on what option will then be put forward for planning.

Ennistymon Fianna Fáil Councillor Richard Nagle expects those submissions will be carefully considered, and is encouraging people to go along.
