The Bishop of Killaloe has said the scandal at the site of a former mother and baby home in Tuam is an indictment on Church and State.
Bishop Fintan Monahan was based in the town for over 20 years before his appointment, and served for ten of those years as the Secretary of the Diocese of Tuam.
