The Bishop of Killaloe claims young people’s love of speeding is a key reason for high road fatality numbers.
Following a surge in tragic road accidents nationwide in recent weeks, Bishop of Fintan Monahan has written an open letter asking road users to “ensure a high standard of road use that serves the common
good”.

Five road deaths have occured in this county so far this year which is greater than the total for the same period from the previous two years combined.
The Bishop of the Diocese says a feeling of “impatience” felt by young drivers is contributing to road deaths.
