The number of births and deaths recorded in Clare is on the up.

New figures released by the CSO show there were 447 births registered to Clare residents from April-June, higher than the same time last year.
239 of the children were girls, nearly 300 were born to married parents and the average age of the mother was 32.
Meanwhile, 187 deaths were recorded in the county, an annual rise of 13 for the corresponding period.
105 of those who died were men, with diseases of the circulatory system the most common cause.
