In March, 32 people were killed and over 200 were injured follow co-ordinated explosions at a Brussles Airport and at a train station.
A book of condolences was set up here in the aftermath of the atrocity, and in a letter to Council Cathaoirleach James Breen Ambassador Philippe Rolande has said he's overwhelmed by the initiative.
He's also thanked Councillor Breen on behalf of the Belgian people.
