Judge Carroll Moran imposed a four year jail term on the 38 year old- described by her eldest daughter as cruel and evil  but suspended it for 7 years.

The court heard the children were frightened dirty and malnourished when they entered foster care, didn’t know how to use cutlery and weren’t toilet trained.

Fergus Finley CEO of Barnardos says it appears to be one of the worst cases of its kind in recent years and the sentence should be reviewed.
