Banks Reveal Loyaltybuild Customers’ Accounts Affected

Two major banks have identified fraudulent activity on a number of credit cards of customers affected by a cyber-attack on the Ennis-based Loyaltybuild.

The Irish Independent reports that both AIB and Permanent TSB have confirmed that a number of their customers have been affected after criminal hackers targeted the Clare firm, which is based on the Station Road on the county town.

More than 80-thousand Supervalu, Axa and Electric Ireland loyalty programme customers have had their credit card details compromised as a result of the European-wide online attack.
