Members of the Central Bank will appear before an Oireachtas Committee today in the wake of the technical problem at Ulster Bank.

It comes ahead of an appearance at the committee tomorrow of Ulster Bank officials themselves.
Some 150-thousand customers of the bank are are still being inconvenienced, with the bank saying it cannot confidently predict when normal services will resume.
This afternoon’s meeting will discuss the safeguards in place to reduce the impact of such difficulties on the financial services sector.
Committee Chair, Deputy Alex White also wants to know what kind of supervision officials exercise over banks like Ulster Bank
