Bank Of Ireland Customers Have Money Taken From Their Accounts

Bank of Ireland says it's notified the Gardaí over a card skimming attack at two of their branches.

It's reported thousands of euro was taken when hundreds of accounts were accessed in Graiguenamanagh, County Kilkenny and Borris, County Carlow.

The operation involved a camera attached to the ATM which worked with an electronic device that read cards as they were inserted into the machine.

Bank of Ireland says any affected customers will have their accounts reimbursed in the coming days, and new cards will be issued if necessary.
