The number of drink driving arrests in Clare over the August Bank Holiday is up on last year’s figures.
6 people were detained by Gardaí on suspicion of being over the legal limit while behind the wheel – up one on 2012 .

Nationally four people lost their lives in crashes in Meath, Dublin and Donegal over the weekend however there were no recorded serious road collisions in Clare – with five non serious accidents and 8 cases of material damage collisions.
