The Ballyvaughan Tidy Towns group is lauding help from its Ukrainian residents after its recent awards win.

The North Clare village was named County Second and won the Silver Medal in the ‘less than 200 population’ category at the national awards ceremony.

There was further success for county Clare, with Ennis named Ireland’s Tidiest Large Urban Centre, and Shannon and Kilrush also earning medals in their respective categories.

Owner of The Hazelwood Lodge and Committee Member of Ballyvaughan Tidy Towns, Victor McSweeney, says the village is proud of its success.
