Ballyea To Contest Seanad Election

A Ballyea man is hoping to be elected to the Seanad.

Eoin Neylon, President of Ogra Fianna Fáil, has been nominated to run on behalf of the party on the Industrial and Commercial Panel.

Already, Fine Gael Senators Martin Conway and Tony Mulcahy have confirmed their intention to seek seats in the Upper House, along with Labour's Michael McNamara, while a number of Councillors are also expected to throw their names into the hat.

Eoin admits the Seanad needs reform, but is convinced it can play a key role in formulating policies.
