Visitors to Ballyalla Lake this weekend are being urged to respect the amenity and not leave rubbish behind.
It follows a massive clean-up last weekend, during which 20 volunteers collected ten full bags of litter from the area, as part of World Ocean Day.

More than one tonne of litter, in total, was removed from 15 clean-up locations across the county, with disposable barbeques and cigarette butts the most common items left behind by those visiting there.
Climate Ambassador for An Taisce, Ennis woman Lisa McCullough is encouraging people to utilise the rubbish bins available at the county’s lakes and waterways.
