Baby Girl Among Migrants Rescued In The Mediterranean

A one year-old baby girl is among dozens of migrants to have been rescued after the boat they were in capsized in the Mediterranean.

It's thought around 600 people were on board when it sank off Libya's coast.  

The Irish vessel the LE Niamh which was on site when the boat tipped over – its now on its way to Palermo in Italy with around 400 people on board.

The death toll has yet to be confirmed but at least  25 bodies have been recovered.
