Tourism providers in the Burren have been honoured in the Irish hospitality sector’s only environmental accreditation programme.

The Burren and Cliffs of Moher Geo Park and Burren Ecotourism Network members claimed the top prize in nine of the 24 categories in this year's Responsible Travel & Tourism Awards.
The Geopark itself claimed the prestigious Best Destination honour, while Hotel Doolin, The Armada House, the Doolin-based Seaview House B&B and Boghill Centre were among the winners.
