Sergeant John Casey, Sergeant Marie Crowley and John McDonnell were involved in the rescue of a man whose car entered in the water at Ballyvaughan Pier in August.
The two Gardai responded to the emergency call, with Sergeant Casey and Mr. McDonnell pulling the man from his vehicle to avert a near tragedy.
The trio will be honoured at Irish Water Safety's annual awards ceremony in Dublin Castle this afternoon.
