Aviva is to increase it’s health insurance premiums by an average of four percent from next month.

It’s just the latest in a string of increases by insurance companies who blame the Government’s health insurance levy and the rising cost of claims.
Aviva says it regrets the hike – but that it’s necessary to cover escalating claims costs and the levy.
From March 31st, there will be increases of up to 6.4 percent on some plans, while others will not be affected.
